Dato' Dr Mohamed Hassan Ariff is a Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Institut Jantung Negara and is currently the Vice President (Medical) of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia. In addition to his eminent medical qualifications and expertise, Dato' Dr Hassan has a deep and longstanding in interest in medical law and holds a Master of Laws in Healthcare and Medical Law.
Dato' Dr Hassan obtained the Colombo Plan Scholarship from the Australian Government to do medicine, and subsequently graduated in medicine (MBBS) from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He also obtained a Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFARCSI).
Dato' Dr Hassan presently holds the post of Senior Consultant Anaesthesiologist in IJN. He was awarded Fellow of Academy of Medicine Malaysia, Fellow National Heart Association of Malaysia and Fellow of ASEAN College of Cardiology. He regularly lectures on medico legal issues and believes graduating doctors should have better medico-legal education.

Shanti has been in legal practice for over 25 years. Dr Ariffin Marzuki bin Mokhtar is a National Specialist Registered Anesthesiologist that graduated from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2002 and is currently lecturing Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His clinical speciality is Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Critical Care with an interest in Pain Management, Extra-corporeal Membrane Oxygenation and Mechanical Circulatory Support. Dr Ariffin is a Certified IT Architect -Associate: Business Architecture (CITA-A, IASA), COBIT 5 (ISACA) and TOGAF 9.1 (Open Group) Certified. He has served as the Deputy Director (Operations) and is currently the Hospital Management System Co-ordinator for Hospital USM, where he coordinates the operation and the Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) initiatives of the Hospital USM by managing multiple stakeholders and providers to ensure value-delivery in the ICT initiatives for the hospital in terms of patient and student centricity, staff competency building and developing a resilient knowledge management system. His current interests are the use of technology as an enabling tool to deliver high quality and safe care to patients including competency building of healthcare providers in using technology tools, modelling clinical care, development of clinical pathways, performance measures, healthcare organization transformation governance and management, healthcare business architecture, activity-based costing and financial management.Dr Nadya Izzati Soaib
Born, bred and commenced her medical career in Johor Bahru, Dr. Nadya Izzati obtained her medical degree in February 2009 from International Medical University. She initiated her journey in administrative ground in the Malaysian Medical Council in 2012. She subsequently took her first step into the medico legal field by joining Medico Legal Section in MOH in 2014. While handling medico legal cases at MOH level, she expanded her interest further by attending vast numbers of medico legal courses and talks delivered by renowned speakers and established organizers. She decided to attain greater knowledge and qualification by pursuing into a Master program on Medical Ethics & Medical Jurisprudence in 2019, during which she did a study on 'The Feasibility of Implementing Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Method in The Malaysian Public Healthcare Setting'. She's adamant to apply her knowledge and experience at the ground and state level.
